    http floods triggered by Vision

We are seeing cases where installations of Vision are related to http request floods being sent to external websites. In summary, sporadically a computer within the classroom will start sending the same http request to an external website at a rate of 10-1000 times per second. My company hosts multiple independent websites with different network infrastructures, and we are seeing this happen from different school districts. Working with one of the schools, we were able to trigger the http flood intentionally by disabling/enabling filtering and a few other operations within Vision, but we haven't been able to identify the specific action.

I'm posting this in the forum in hopes of getting ideas as to the root cause. Case is 00106854

Other info, from one of the schools: Vision v8.x, Windows 7(?), IE 11(?)

    Hello,

We are still awaiting information with regards to what is going on Vision when this is occurring. Please try to get the additional information we requested so we can replicate the issue and look into it further.

Thank you. I wish it was as simple as "When I do this in Vision, the flood occurs", but that's not the case. It would be helpful if NetOp were to consider what may cause this, and provide a list of actions to take, as a test script.
