Win XP uninstall vision client 7.3 now computer won't boot

I had to re-install vision 7.3 on a computer. I uninstalled and the computer rebooted, upon reboot it says DLL missing need to contact admin to install DLL. I can't remote in, it says intall failed. The PC itself will not boot to a login screen to reintall the client manually. What are we supposed to do?

Dear rwade, I am sorry you are having problems. Please follow the below instuctions to fix this issue:

-make a remote connection as Administrator to the trouble PC (where the error appears) and go to registry where the visionGINA.dll is specified: HKLM/software/Microsoft/windowsNT/currentversion/winlogon

    Delete this key and restart.

Do let me know about the results.

    Thank you

Remote connection HOW? Vision has been removed and the computer is not booting into a login screen. I'm not sure how I can remote into the computer.

Dear rwade, I am really sorry about this. I advise you to try the following:

    -restart the computer and press the F8 key on your keyboard;on a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears;
-select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
-when the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER.

    Safe Boot options

Safe Mode (SAFEBOOT_OPTION=Minimal): This option uses a minimal set of device drivers and services to start Windows.
Safe Mode with Networking (SAFEBOOT_OPTION=Network): This option uses a minimal set of device drivers and services to start Windows together with the drivers that you must have to load networking.
Safe Mode with Command Prompt (SAFEBOOT_OPTION=Minimal(AlternateShell)): This option is the same as Safe mode, except that Cmd.exe starts instead of Windows Explorer.
Enable VGA Mode: This option starts Windows in 640 x 480 mode by using the current video driver (not Vga.sys). This mode is useful if the display is configured for a setting that the monitor cannot display.

Note Safe mode and Safe mode with Networking load the Vga.sys driver instead.
Last Known Good Configuration: This option starts Windows by using the previous good configuration.
Directory Service Restore Mode: This mode is valid only for Windows-based domain controllers. This mode performs a directory service repair.
Debugging Mode: This option turns on debug mode in Windows. Debugging information can be sent across a serial cable to another computer that is running a debugger. This mode is configured to use COM2.
Enable Boot Logging: This option turns on logging when the computer is started with any of the Safe Boot options except Last Known Good Configuration. The Boot Logging text is recorded in the Ntbtlog.txt file in the %SystemRoot% folder.
Starts Windows Normally: This option starts Windows in its normal mode.
Reboot: This option restarts the computer.
Return to OS Choices Menu: On a computer that is configured to starting to more than one operating system, this option returns to the Boot menu.

Do let me know if you managed to boot to login screen.
    Kindest regards,

    Gianina-Aniela

I have the same problem. i have gotten into safe mode and got to registry and deleted the key with visionGina.dll. Now I get the following message on my restart

"unable to log you on because the netlogon service is not running on this machine"

    NO.
    That is COMPLETELY wrong.
Yes you go to that Registry entry, but NEVER delete that ENTIRE Key.
You will not be able to boot back.
First make an export of that registry key.
But then go to the winlogon registry key mentioned in this post of Gianinas.

Then look for a single entry within that key that references visionGINA.dll.
Delete that single entry within the winlogon registry key.

Again do NOT DELETE the entire winlogon key. JUST the single entry of visionGINA.dll.

Works great. I have done it.

Should be careful posting things like this when it could take down the PC completely.
